Mandatory ACT for Juniors & Sophomores

As part of Hillcrest’s graduation requirements, students must be admitted to a college; that further requires that students take the ACT. In order to help with that, we have mandatory testing for our seniors and juniors in the fall of each school year, and again in the spring for juniors and sophomores. The mandatory spring ACT will be given Tuesday, April 2nd, to all 10th and 11th grade students at HCS. Please send $47.00 (checks should be made out to “Hillcrest Christian School” or “HCS”) to the front office NO LATER THAN Wednesday, March 20th.

For any students who would like to prepare or to see samples of the ACT tests ahead of time, ACT posts a practice booklet with helpful tips online. Click HERE to access it (and you may also print it if you would like).

There is no need for students to register on the ACT website for this testing date, as HCS has already taken care of that process. Students only need to register online for the Saturday test dates.

Also, don’t forget that Mrs. Lasseter offers an ACT Workshop here at Hillcrest! If you want to improve your score, or learn some tips and tricks for the test, sign up! Space is limited to 20 students per session.
