ADMISSION AND TESTING PROCESS

K3 and K4 – ½ day program

  1. Contact lower school counselor to schedule a tour of the school.
  2. Schedule an interview with custodial parents/guardians, lower school principal, and lower school counselor.
  3. Admissions Committee considers enrollment request.
  4. Lower school counselor notifies parents of Admissions Committee’s decision.
  5. If admitted, contact Business Office to complete enrollment process, including membership and other applicable fees.

K5 through 12th grade

*Mississippi law requires students entering 1st grade to be six (6) years old by September 1st.*

  1. Contact appropriate school counselor to schedule a tour of the school.
  2. Contact appropriate school counselor to schedule entrance testing/evaluation. (Testing typically requires 1 to 2 hours.)
  3. On the day of testing, school counselor will ask parents/guardians to complete a New Student Testing Information form. Please also bring the following documents and provide them to the counselor:
    a.) Official copy of most recent report card, b.) Discipline report, and c.) Immunization records
  4. Students in grades 7 through 12 fill out schedule choice sheet, which will be held until admissions process is complete.
  5. Admissions Committee will interview custodial parents/ guardians and then consider enrollment request. (If possible, please schedule interview at the same time as student testing.)
  6. School counselor will notify parents of Admissions Committee decision.
  7. If admitted, contact Business Office to complete enrollment process, including membership and other applicable fees.

Criteria for Admission to Hillcrest Christian School

  • Student applicant must pass the admissions test (administered by designated school official).
  • Student applicant must receive an acceptable behavior recommendation (zero discipline report) from previously attended schools.
  • Student must be approved and admitted by the Admissions Committee.

Upon acceptance by the Admissions Committee, the following documents must be provided in order for the admissions process to be completed:

The official cumulative record will be requested by the school counselor at the conclusion of the admissions process. Class assignments and schedules will be finalized when all required documentation has been received.
