Like the Wind

Congratulations to our Lady Cougars track team once AGAIN!!!  They placed as runners up in the 2017 Overall (Division I and II, Class AAAA) Track Meet on Friday and Saturday, May 5th and 6th.

The following athletes placed in the top 3 in these individual events:

  • 4×100 relay: Katie Martin, Kaylyn Turner, Lauren Denton, and Aaliyah Dixon – 1st place
  • 4×200 relay: Katie Martin, Kaylyn Turner, Lauren Denton, and Aaliyah Dixon – 1st place
  • 4×400 relay: Katie Martin, Maddison Turner, Kaylyn Turner, and Lauren Denton – 1st place
  • 100: Kaitlin Denton – 3rd place, Aaliyah Dixon – 1st place
  • 200: Aaliyah Dixon – 1st place
  • 400: Kaylyn Turner – 3rd place, Lauren Denton – 1st place
  • 300 Hurdles: Katie Martin – 2nd place
  • 100 Hurdles: Katie Martin – 2nd place

Baseball playoffs begin today, as our Cougars play against East Rankin Academy’s Patriots beginning at 3:00PM.  Game 2 will take place Wednesday at home, again versus ERA.  Please come out and support our team!
