Homecoming T-shirts

The due date for returning Homecoming t-shirt order forms has changed.
The form and payment is due Monday, September 19th.
We had to move the date up so the printer can have plenty of time for printing.
Thanks for your help!

Happy Labor Day

According to History.com, Labor Day was created by the labor movement in the late 1800s and became a federal holiday in 1894 to pay tribute to the contributions and achievements of American workers. Observed on the first Monday in September, Labor Day is celebrated across the U.S. with parades, barbecues, fireworks and other public gatherings. For many Americans, it represents the end of the summer and the start of the back-to-school season, so it’s a last chance to get away for a mini-vacation.

No matter how you choose to celebrate, we hope all of our HCS family will stay safe and have fun!

Important Policy Updates

Parents, please notice that under the “Forms, Documents & Links” heading on the sidebar we have added the Absentee and Make-up Work Policies for the Upper School.  Both have recently been re-worded in order that the rules regarding these issues may be more easily understood.  Teachers have also been made aware of changes to the policies and procedures and will be following them strictly.

Please take the time to familiarize yourselves and your children with the protocol for when they have to miss classes so that the school year will run smoothly and be a successful one!

Band Back at It

The One Spirit, One Sound Band completed a week of camp at Hinds Community College, and began to put together their field show — “Light” — for the 2016 football season.  Pictured here are senior band members officially welcoming new director, Joshua Landrum, into the OSOS family.
