The ACT which was scheduled to be given Tuesday in districts nationwide as part of in-school testing has been cancelled by ACT.
According to a statement from ACT emailed to test coordinators late Friday, “The ACT state and district test administration that had been scheduled for Oct. 2, 2018 has been postponed due to a compromise in the testing process.” Furthermore, ACT states, “A compromise in the testing process is an event that could impact the fairness of the exam. ACT has taken this action to ensure fair testing for all students and to protect the integrity of the test scores. The incident is still under investigation, and ACT cannot comment on what specifically occurred at this time.”
ACT is now planning to offer the district / weekday district testing on Tuesday, October 16th. Juniors and seniors who have already paid for the exam will have those funds transferred for the new testing date. Those who have not yet sent the $46.00 fee for the test should do so by the end of this week.
Parents, As of about midday Monday, we have resolved issues we were having with MSP so that teachers are now able to enter assignments and grades. Please give them a couple of days to catch up and enter those into the system; then, if you had an account last year, your login information did not change, and you should be able to login to MSP. However, if you are a new family or if your email address has changed, please send an email to Mrs. Massey (school counselor, email@example.com) with your current email address. Once she confirms that your information is correct in the system and sends your PIN number, you should be able to follow the instructions below.
The first day of school is Wednesday, August 8th!
Students — both current and new: Don’t forget that the time to complete your summer reading is quickly coming to an end. For Upper-School students, tests on the assigned novels will be administered on Monday, August 13, (and Monday, August 20, if two novels are required).
