Christian Leaders of the Future

Sponsored by Mississippi Christian Living and Belhaven University

The application process requires the thoughtful response to seven key questions about the student’s Christian faith and practice.  Students will be judged on the content as well as the quality of their writing.

Response should be typed in a 12-point Times New Roman font.  It should be emailed as a Word document attachment.

Two Christian Leaders will be selected to receive a $1,000 scholarship to the college of his or her choice. The student application and all instructions are available at www.MsChristianLiving.com under the Christian Leader tab.

The deadline for entry is December 2, 2016

Mississippi Excellence in Teaching Program (METP) Admissions are based on academic achievement, service, educational experiences, and passion for teaching.  Competitive applicants are expected to have a minimum ACT score of 28 or SAT score of 1250, and a minimum high school GPA of 3.5. Scholarship includes tuition, books and fees for up to four years.  METP scholars also receive room and board, technology, study abroad, professional development, cross-campus learning. Nissan Scholarship Nissan North America, Inc. provides scholarship funds for applicants that will attend a Mississippi public two year college or public four year college.

Hinds Community College Foundation Scholarships
Deadline for all HCC scholarships – March 1
One of the most abundant sources of scholarships offered to students involved in extracurricular activities and desire for achievement, show excellence in the classroom, and have for financial assistance.  Students who do not have at least a 2.0 GPA will not be considered for Foundation Scholarships.
Requirements: Hinds CC application + Scholarship application + Transcript that shows minimum 2.0 GPA w/ACT scores + 3 letters of recommendation.
